Marketing
In today's competitive marketplace a strategy that ensures a consistent approach to offering your product or service in a way that will outsell the competition is critical. However, in defining the marketing strategy you must also have a well defined methodology to insure successful implementation. It is of little value to have a strategy if you lack either the resources or the expertise to implement it.
A great marketing strategy has many factors to consider. Of these many factors some are more important than others. To determine what the critical strategies are you must first determine what your overall objective should be.
Whether it is your intention to develop, manufacture and distribute your product, or to license it to be manufactured for royalties, to be successful you must have a great marketing strategy and be able to successfully execute each of the elements. For your consideration we have listed three primary strategies.
Cost Leadership Strategy
Is based on being able to develop, produce and sell your product at a lower cost and higher gross profit than your competitors. Typically, you must have sufficient capital, great product engineering skills, low cost labor and products designed for ease of manufacturing.
Differentiation Strategy
To perform our services with the highest level of integrity and provide our clients with top-of-the-line products and services that maximize the value of their intellectual property.
Focus Strategy
Describes an intense and sophisticated strategy and is designed to address a specific and "focused" segment of the marketplace. It is based on the concept of serving a particular target in an exceptional manner, where others cannot easily compete. This typically means serving a much smaller market, but because of minimal competition, profit margins should be much higher than the industry.
